Cellular Senescence in Bone
نویسندگان
چکیده
Senescence is an irreversible cell-cycle arrest process induced by environmental, genetic, and epigenetic factors. An accumulation of senescent cells in bone results age-related disorders, one the common problems osteoporosis. Deciphering basic mechanisms contributing to chronic ailments aging may uncover new avenues for targeted treatment. This review focuses on most relevant research advancements skeletal cellular senescence. To identify options treatment or prevention diseases, researchers have hallmarks aging, including telomere attrition, genomic instability, senescence, alterations. First, this chapter provides overview fundamentals tissue, causes involution, role senescence diseases such as Next, will discuss utilization pharmacological interventions tissues and, more specifically, highlight effective safe strategies.

In Vitro Evaluation of Protective Effect of Rutin on Acrylamide-Induced Cellular Senescence in NIH3T3 Cells
Background: Aging is one of the important factors in the development of age-related diseases. Acrylamide can be produced during carbohydrate-rich foods prepared at high temperatures. Recently, studies showed that acrylamide can induce cellular senescence. On the other hand, Rutin as a natural flavonoid, has a potent antioxidant activity. Objective: This study aims to evaluate the ptotective ef...

senescence is the activation of the INK4/ARF locus, which is epigenetically regulated and under tight control of the Polycomb group (PcG) Trithorax group (TrxG) proteins [1]. In proliferating cells, the locus is silenced by Polycomb repressive complexes (PRCs), and the chromatin is enriched in H3K27me3 [2]. Upon senescence triggers, PRCs are displaced and the repressive H3K27me3 mark is removed...
متن کاملCellular senescence in osteoarthritis pathology
Cellular senescence is a state of stable proliferation arrest of cells. The senescence pathway has many beneficial effects and is seen to be activated in damaged/stressed cells, as well as during embryonic development and wound healing. However, the persistence and accumulation of senescent cells in various tissues can also impair function and have been implicated in the pathogenesis of many ag...
متن کاملCellular senescence in aging primates.
The aging of organisms is characterized by a gradual functional decline of all organ systems. Mammalian somatic cells in culture display a limited proliferative life span, at the end of which they undergo an irreversible cell cycle arrest known as replicative senescence. Whether cellular senescence contributes to organismal aging has been controversial. We investigated telomere dysfunction, a r...
متن کاملCigarette smoke induces cellular senescence.
Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) is the fourth leading cause of death in the United States, and cigarette smoking is the major risk factor for COPD. Fibroblasts play an important role in repair and lung homeostasis. Recent studies have demonstrated a reduced growth rate for lung fibroblasts in patients with COPD. In this study we examined the effect of cigarette smoke extract (CSE) ...
